Al-Qasim Ibn Muhammad Ibn Abu Bakr: One First Medina Scholar.

Today, we will discuss about Al-Qasim Ibn Muhammad Ibn Abu Bakar, grandson from Caliph Abu Bakr As-Shiddiq and one first Muslim Scholar at Medina. And, according Historian Abdurrahman Rafat Basya, he is one first Islamic Scholar who became pioneer at Islamic Knowledge. Al-Qasim Ibn Muhammad Ibn Abu Bakr,  is son from Abu Bakr s son, Muhammad Ibn Abu Bakr As-Shiddiq and his wife who is Persian Princess. He born at last age of Uthman Ibn Affan, third caliph from Rashidun Caliphate s goverment era.  At his childhood, he run many problem at his life. 

At 656 AD, Caliph Uthman Ibn Affan killed at hand of rebels. This murdered happened at 17 June 656 AD. And, Al-Qasim s father who became Egypt Governor under Rashidun Caliphate, Muhammad Ibn Abu Bakr, killed at 38 H. This factor is game of throne at Egypt beeten supporters from Caliph Ali Ibn Abi Thalib, fourth caliph from Rashidun Caliphate and Muawiya Ibn Abi Sufyan, Governor Of Syria under Rashidun Caliphate. Muawiya Ibn Abi Sufyan send army under his general, Amr Ibn Ash for defeat Muhammad Ibn Abu Bakr who became Ali s supporter. At battle, Muhammad Ibn Abu Bakr die and Amr Ibn Ash occupied Egypt.

This new achieve Muhammad Ibn Abi Bakr s sister, Aisyah, widow from Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. She huge her family, included Muhammad Ibn Abi Bakr who at this time, still children. Al-Qasim s uncle, Abdurrahman pick up Al-Qasim and his sister from Egypt to Aisyah s house at Medina. Aisyah , doing role as mother and teacher for Al-Qasim.  She take care Al-Qasim and teach him Koran (Islamic Holy Book) and Hadiths (Islamic Oral Tradition that is Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s quotes). And, when he grown up, Muhammad Ibn Abi Bakr also studied to several shahabas at Mosque Of Nabawi, Medina. He studied to several shahabas such as Abu Hurayra, Abdullah Ibn Umar, Abdullah Ibn Abbas, and other shahabas. And, Al-Qasim, after studied to several shahabas, became Islamic Religion Teacher. Al-Qasim became one scholar at Medina, Saudi Arabia, with his cousin, Salim Ibn Abdullah Ibn Umar. And, when Umayyad Caliphate Era,  Al-Qasim became place of consultation. Many people consut to him, caliph and governors at Umayyad Dynasty. 

But, Al-Qasim doesnt arrogant. When Umayyad Caliph Al-Walid Ibn Abdul Malik held Mosque Of Nabawi s renovation, Al-Qasim  go down for work at this project,  although he is one big scholar that has big influence at Umayyad Dynasty.

Many people said about him: “Al-Qasim is person who most similar with his grandfather, Abu Bakr As-Shiddiq. Al-Qasim, similar with Caliph Abu Bakr As-Shiddiq, First Caliph from Rashidun Caliphate at his  generosity. 

Al-Qasim die at 725 AD and he said to his son for doesnt praised him after his die because he feel his person is ordinary people. It is shape from  humbleness that showed by an scholar. May Allah Subhanahuwataala bless him.
