Abdullah Ibn Hudahafa As-Sahmiy, is one Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahaba who became courier for send Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s letter to several ruler around Arabia Peninsula.
At this time, Persian Empire lead by Khosrau II/Kisra. At 627 AD, Byzantine Emperor, Heraclius and Byzantine Army can defeat Persian Army at Battle Of Nineveh, Iraq. At 628 AD, Byzantine Army can rob Persian Empire Capital, Ctesiphon.
At 6 TH Years Of Hijriyya,Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam send Abdullah Ibn Hudhafa to Persia for send Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam letter that contained invitation for Khosrau II to convert to Islam.
Abdullah Ibn Hudhafa, went to Persia with bring several logistics. He ask permission to Khosrau s guardian to meet Khosrau. At conferention room, Abdullah meet Khosrau and Persian Officers. Khosrau call his one secreatry who originated from Iraq and s Arabian. Khosrau ask his secretary read Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s letter, that this content is:
“In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful
From Muhammad, messenger of Allah to Khosrau, King Of Persia, the salvation only for who follow the guide”
Khosrau angry and he tear this message until destroyed. He belittle Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and drive out Abdullah from conferention room.
Abdullah back to Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam at Medina, Saudi Arabia, and he tell Khosrau s verb to Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, Allah Subhanahuwataala will destroy Khosrau s kingdom.
Khosrau, write letter to Persian Governor at Yemen, Badhan for send two man who will captured Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and bring Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam for faced Khosrau at Persia. Badhan send two man for captured Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
They meet Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and ask Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam to faced Khosrau. Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam said to them, they cannot meet Khosrau , because Khosrau killed at hand of his son. They back to Badhan and tell it to their boss.
And it is true, at 28 February 628 AD, Shiroyeh, son from Khosrau II, rebel to his father with helped from General Shahar Varaz and several Armenian Officers. Shiroyeh , kill his father and Shiroyeh became King Of Persia with title Kavadh II. Kavadh II send letter to Badhan and tell about Khosrau s murdered.
Badhan convert to Islam, and followed by many Persian Officers at Yemen. Abdullah Ibn Hudahafa, also became Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s commander .Muslim Historian, Imam Dhahabi, write Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam send expedition under Abdullah Ibn Hudhafa, but dont mentioned this plan from expedition.
At 9 Hijriyya, Second Caliph from Rashidun Caliphate, Umar Ibn Al-Khattab send army for fight againt Byzantine Empire and Abdullah follow this army. Abdullah, became Byzantine Hostage, with several Muslim Warriors. But, he can free from liberation and liberate all Muslim Warriors who captured by Byzantine Army.
Abdullah Ibn Hudhafa, also follow Rashidun Commander, Amr Ibn Ash at Conquest Of Egypt and he die at 653 AD. May Allah Subhanahuwataala bless him.
