Umair Ibn Saad: Little Hero

Today, we will discuss about Umair Ibn Saad, little hero  who can make his father  repent after his father mocked Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam.And, uniquely, he started his struggle with became orphan. Umair Ibn Saad, life at 7 TH Century. He originated from Medina, Saudi Arabia. His father die when he was child and after this, this mother married  Al-Julas Ibn Suwayd, richman from Tribes Of Aws.  According Ummah Document who written by Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam at 7 TH Century, Tribes Of Aws is one Jewish Tribes at Medina who join with Muslims at peace covenant with Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam.  At 622 AD, Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam moved to Medina with his followers from Mecca.

Al-Julas convert to Islam with his adopted son, Umair. Al-Julas so loved Umair because Umair is clever and honest child. Umair convert to Islam when his age is 10 years old. Every day, Umair came to mosque for doing pray together with Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Umair went to mosque with Al-Julas. Umair s mother so happy seeing his husband and his son went to mosque for join praying together with Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. 

At 630 AD Medina, Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s capital in danger. Byzantine Emperor, Heraclius, collect Byzantine Army for attack Medina. Byzantine Army also strengthen by Syrian Army that recruited from Arabian Tribes at Syria, such as Tribes Of Lakhm, Judham, Ghassanids, and Amila.  Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam, prepare cavalry for attack Territories Of Syria that occupied by Byzantine Empire.Expedition to Territories Of Syria that occupied by Byzantine Empire, so important for Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam, for protect Medina from external  threatment. Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam also ask several Arabian Tribes who became Vassal Of Medina and Mecca for send army for support Conquest Of Syria.

But, Medina at this time dont at good condition. Many betrayer provocated Muslims for leave their  obligation defend their state. Several provocators  from Hypocrites provocated Muslims for dont participated at this war. All Muslims who can fight and has equipment, must went to battle. But Al-Julas lazy  for went to battle. Umair talk to Al-Julas and he tell, many poor people cannot went to battle, though they want went to battle, because they doesnt has vehicle and weapons. Al-Julas replaced it with mocked Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam: 

“If Muhammad true with his claim as propeth, we more bad from donkey”

Umair sad hear this. He cannot predicted this. Umair tell Al-Julas s behavior to Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam call Al-Julas to mosque. Umair and Al-Julas meet at mosque. Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam ask Al-Julas, is it true he say like this. Al-Julas lied with said he doesnt say this mock. Several people at mosque seeing Umair and Al-Julas. Several people said Umair is son who dont know how thanks to his parent. And,several people said Umair true with his claim. Until, Allah Subhanahuwataala revealed QS.At-Taubah: 74 :

يَحْلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ مَا قَالُوا۟ وَلَقَدْ قَالُوا۟ كَلِمَةَ ٱلْكُفْرِ وَكَفَرُوا۟ بَعْدَ إِسْلَـٰمِهِمْ

وَهَمُّوا۟ بِمَا لَمْ يَنَالُوا۟ ۚ وَمَا نَقَمُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ أَنْ أَغْنَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ ۚ فَإِن يَتُوبُوا۟ يَكُ خَيْرًۭا لَّهُمْ ۖ وَإِن يَتَوَلَّوْا۟ يُعَذِّبْهُمُ ٱللَّهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۭا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۚ

وَمَا لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن وَلِىٍّۢ وَلَا نَصِيرٍۢ

“They swear by Allah that they never said anything ˹blasphemous˺, while they did in fact utter a blasphemy, lost faith after accepting Islam, and plotted what they could not carry out.1 It is only through resentment that they pay Allah and His Messenger back for enriching them out of His bounty! If they repent, it will be better for them. But if they turn away, Allah will torment them with a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no one on earth to protect or help them”.

Know this revelation after Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam read it, Al-Julas confess his mistake and he became Good Muslims. After this time, Al-Julas always pray for Umair: “May Allah bless Umair with goodness, he was save me from disbelief. He was liberate me from hell”. Umair s story, became proof we can became hero, whatever we, if we defend goodness and truth. May Allah bless him.
