Abdullah Ibn Salam, is one Jewish Rabbi at Medina, Saudi Arabia. His original name is al-Hushain Ibn Salam. At this time, Medina still named Yasthrib, before Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam came to Medina and preach at this place. According Islamic Historian from Syria, Abdurrahman Rafat Basya, Abdullah Ibn Salam is one pious man at Medina. He popular as good and honest man. He also has Israeli Genealogy who continued to Propeth Yusuf Alaihissalam, son from Propeth Yaqub Alaihissalam.
Before convert to Islam, Abdullah split his time to three part. First part for doing Judaism Worship. Second part for work at his palmfruit garden. And, third part for studied Torah, Judaism Holy Book. He studied Torah and he find old propechy about arrival from one propeth from Mecca, who perfect before him propeths. Abdullah Ibn Salam, want meet Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and he convert to Islam in front of Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. And after convert to Islam, Abdullah Ibn Salam invited his family for convert to Islam. His wife, childrens, and all Abdullah s family convert to Islam. His aunt, Khalida bintu al-Harith, also convert to Islam.
Abdullah Ibn Salam, want preach to Jewish Peoples at Medina and he say it to Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam agree. One day, Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and Abdullah Ibn Salam, preach to Jewishs Peoples at Medina. Abdullah Ibn Salam, invited Jewishs People at Medina for convert to Islam. And, Jewishs People at Medina rejected it and they denounce Abdullah Ibn Salam.
Abdullah Ibn Salam, received Islam with good receive. Every day, he read Koran ( Islamic Holy Book) and he always join Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Abdullah Ibn Salam want to make charity until Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam give him promise for entered heaven.
Qais Ibn Ubada, tell his experience meet Abdullah Ibn Salam, who at his old age, became Islamic Teacher at Mosque Of Nabawi, Medina and he give Islamic Teaching to peoples at mosque. Mosque s people said : “Who will seeing one from heaven s resident , see to him” Qais ask to they who man who considered as heaven resident and they answer it is Abdullah Ibn Salam.
Qais Ibn Ubada visit Abdullah Ibn Salam at his house, that located at City Of Medina s boundaries. Qais Ibn Ubada ask to Abdullah Ibn Salam, what factor people at mosque said him is one from heaven s resident. Abdullah Ibn Salam said: “Only Allah who know who reserved became heavent resident”.Abdullah Ibn Salam, tell Qais, when Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam still alive, he ever get propechy from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam, he will enter to heaven.
Abdullah Ibn Salam, also popular as Hadith ( Islamic Oral Tradition from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam) s Scholar. He was narrated 25 Hadiths. May Allah Subhanahuwataala bless him.
