Al-Qaqa Ibn Amr At-Tamimi: Best Cavalry At Rashidun Era.

Today, we will discuss about Al-Qaqa Ibn Amr At-Tamimi, one best cavalry at Rashidun Caliphate Era. Until Caliph Abu Bakr As-Shidiq, call him as cavalry who better from 1000 warriors. At Pre Islam Age, he is cavalry and poet. And, when became convert to Islam, he became one cavalry at Islamic Military at era of Rashidun Caliphate.  His first expedition, recorded by Muslim Historian , Ibn Kathir. 

According Muslim Historian, Ibn Kathir, Caliph Abu Bakr, first caliph from Rashidun Caliphate ( ruled 632-634 AD) send expedition under Khalid Ibn Walid to Iraq at 12 H . Al-Qaqa Ibn Amr join this battle. This expedition, doing because Persian Ruler at Iraq, Hormuz attack Arabians and it is threatment for Rashidun Caliphate.  Khalid Ibn Walid and Al-Qaqa Ibn Amr, went with 18.000 army. Hormuz went with many army and moved to Kazhima for faced Khalid s army. 

Battle started with one by one duel. Khalid fight with Hormuz. At this duel, Khalid can strangled Hormuz and several Hormuz s guardians forward to pretend Khalid kill Hormuz.  Al-Qaqa Ibn Amr forward and he kill Hormuz s guardians. At this time, Hormuz killed and Persian Army escaped from the battle. They chased by Rashidun Army.  According Palestinian Historian Jihad at-Turbani, at this time, Hormuz  tie Persian Army with steel chain for pretend they escaped from Rashidun Army. But, they can defeated by Khalid and Al-Qaqa. According At-Turbani, all 10 Persian Army tie with steel chain at this time. 

Al-Qaqa Ibn Amr, became Khalid s partner at Conquest Of Iraq from Empire Of Persia. Khalid and Al-Qaqa moved to Ablah and Al-Mazdar and defeat Persian Army. Many Persian Army can broked by Khalid and Al-Qaqa. At Battle Of Ulays, Khalid and Al-Qaqa defeat Persian Army that helped by Iraqi Christians. 

Al-Qaqa Ibn Amr also join Conquest Of Persia at era of Caliph Umar Ibn Khattab. At 637 AD, Qaqa join Battle Of Qadisiyya againt Persian Army under Rustam, one Persian Administrator.  According Islamic Historian, Agha Ibrahim Akram, Persian Army consist of 60.000 Army under Rustam and Muslim Army consist of 30.000 army under Saad Ibn Abi Waqqash. Qaqa lead one Rashidun Army from Qaqa s tribe, Tamim and they doing action attack Persian Army camp at the night. 

At last night of battle, Qaqa and his army attack Persian Camp. Qaqa, helped with several shahabas and Rashidun Hero, such as Amr Ibn Mali Karib, Asad Ibn Qeis, and Qeis Ibn Hubeira can destroy Persian Army. Rustam , Persian Commander die at this battle.Agha Ibrahim Akram said, he killed by Hilal Ibn Ulafa, one Rashidun Warrior. But, other historian, such as Shaykh Muhammad Said Mursi, said that Qaqa Ibn Amr kill Rustam with his hand.

After this battle, Qaqa join several battle at Rashidun-Persia conflict, such as Battle Of Jalula and Battle Of Nihavand. At Battle Of Nihavand, he can kill Persian Commander, Firouzan .

Qaqa at Caliph Ali Ibn Abi Thalib, fourth caliph from Rashidun Caliphate era , Al-Qaqa became mediator beetwen Ali and Thalha  Ibn Ubaydilla at Jamal Civil War. Al-Qaqa can make peace situation after Batte Of Jamal. Al-Qaqa die at 40 H, may Allah Subhanahuwataala bless him.
