Ikrima, has name Ikrima Ibn Abi Jahal Al-Makhzumiy. He is one Pagan Quraish Cavalry and he is one man who became Islam enemy. At Mecca, he join his father s step tortured many Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahabas. He also join his father with Quraish Army to attack Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam at Battle Of Badr at 624 AD.
His father, Abu Jahal die at Battle Of Badr. Ikrima Ibn Abi Jahal back to Mecca and he burried his father s body. After this, Ikrima join many battles with Pagan Quraish for defeat Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and his follower.
At Battle Of Uhud (625 AD), Ikrima lead Quraish Army at left wing and at this battle, Pagan Quraish can defeat Muslim Army. At Battle Of Khandaq ( 627 AD), Ikrima became one cavalry at Pagan Quraish Army.. At this time, Pagan Quraish Army helped by Bedouins and Abbisinians mercenaries. They want attack Medina, Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s goverment capital. At this time, Pagan Quraish and their coalition defeated and Ikrima Ibn Abi Jahal run from the battle.
At 630 AD, Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam lead his army to conquer Mecca. Ikrima Ibn Abi Jahal and several Quraish Warriors tried to stop Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam army. Broke little battle and Khaleed Ibn Waleed, Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam commander can defeat Ikrima and his warriors.
Ikrima and his wife, Umm Hakim tried run to Yemen. He fear Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam will kill him. At midjourney, Umm Hakim said she was ask Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam to forgive Ikrima. Ikrima and Umm Hakim went to Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s house. Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam forgive Ikrima.
At this time, happened dialog beetwen Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and Ikrima about Islamic Teaching. And, Ikrima Ibn Abi Jahal convert to Islam. Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam pray to Allah for forvive Ikrima s mistakes.
At this time, Ikrima Ibn Abi Jahal turn into Obedient Muslim. According Syrian Historian, DR.Abdurrahman Rafat Basya, Ikrima diligent read Koran and he cried every read Koran. He also became cavalry at Rashidun Caliphate who follow many battles for defend Islamic Honour.
At Umar Ibn Khattab s goverment era ( 634-644 AD), second caliph from Rashidun Caliphate, Ikrima join Battle Of Yarmouk at 634 AD againt Byzantine Empire. At this time, Muslims Army forced by Byzantine Army. At this time, Ikrima down from his horse and attack Byzantine army with his sword, until he suffered seriously injured.
Battle finished with Rashidun s victory. 3 Rashidun Warriors suffered seriously injured, they are Harith Ibn Hisham, Ayyash Ibn Abi Rabia, and Ikrima Ibn Abi Jahal.
Harith ask water for drink. Al-Harith give his water to Ikrima and seeing Ayyash turn around , Ikrima ask this water give to Ayyash. But, Ayyash was die. Water back into Ikrima and Al-Harith and at this time, Ikrima and Al-Harith also die. They die in condition prioritzed other people at hard condition. May Allah Subhanahuwataala bless him.
