This book, written by Palestinian Christian Activist, Edward Wadie Said, who life at America at 20 TH Century. Edward Said , at his book, tell us how Western Scholar doing activity of orientalism for discredite Eastern World. What is Orientalism? Orientalism is study that doing by Western Scholars for studied Eastern World, included Eastern literatures, history, culture, and other. Subject from this studies, mentioned by Orientalist. And, according Edward Said, Western Scholars often dont objectives when they studied about Eastern World. Several Western Figures, such as Karl Max, Benjamin Disraeli, and Flaubert, such as quoted by Edward Said, discredited Eastern World and they illustrated Eastern World as primitive and backward civilization.
