According Historian Imam Dhahabi, he has fullname Muhammad Ibn Isa at-Tirmidhi Ibn Samura Ibn Musa as-Sulami. According Imam Dhahabi, he born at 200 H /805 AD, but several sources said he born at 824 AD. He born at City Of Tirmidh, Iran. He love travelling for studied. According Imam Dhahabi, he studied to several teacher, from them Abu Mushab az-Zuhri, Qutayba Ibn Said, Ibrahim Ibn Abdullah al-Harawi, Ismail Ibn Musa as-Sadi, Shalih Ibn Abdullah, Abdullah Ibn Muawiya. Muhammad Ibn Isa, popular as his memory. Abu Said al- Idrisi, such as quoted by Imam Dhahabi, tell that one day, Muhammad Ibn Isa meet one shaykh and with his shaykh, he discussed about Hadiths. This shaykh read 40 Hadiths and Muhammad Ibn Isa can repeat 40 Hadith that read by this shaykh without mistakes. This shaykh said: “I never see people like you.”. Imam Tirmidhi write one masterpiece, named Jami or Sunan Tirmidhi. This book, discuss Hadiths about Islamic Worship, hygiene, and other. Imam Tirmidhi, take sources about Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s oral tradition from several Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahabas , such as Ibn Massoud and Uthman Ibn Affan. Abu Bakr al-Arabi said testimony about this book: “Not exist most beautiful words and fresh such as Abu Isa s book”. After spend his time with preach, write, and other, Imam Tirmidhi die at 892 AD. At end of life, he cannot seeing and became blind. He die at 70 years old. At his age, his book, Sunan Tirmidhi was readed by Islamic Scholars at Hijaz, Khorasan/ East Iran , and Iraq.
