Muadh Ibn Amr Ibn Jamuh: Theenager Who Became Battle Of Badr s Hero.

Today, we will discuss about Muadh Ibn Amr Ibn Jamuh, theenager who became hero at Battle Of Badr, first front battle at Islamic History. He kill Abu Jahal, Pagan Quraish Commander at Battle Of Badr 624 AD. Muadh Ibn Amr, has fullname Muadh Ibn Amr Ibn Jamuh Ibn Kab al-Anshari al-Khazraji as-Sulami al-Madani al-Badri al-Aqabi.  His father, Amr Ibn Jamuh, is one one leader at Medina. Amr Ibn Jamuh, is one leader from Tribe Of Bani Salama at Medina. Amr Ibn Jamuh, is one pagan and Muadh with his brothers: Khallad and Muawwidh convert to Islam because preach that doing by one Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahaba, Mushab Ibn Umayr. And, it is make Amr Ibn Jamuh angry. He angry because his sons was convert to Islam. Muadh and his brothers , tried to make their father convert to Islam.

Amr and his brothers with one Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahaba , Muadh Ibn Jabal who also their friend,  at the night, throw Amr Ibn Jamuh s idol that worshipper by Amr, Manat to  Tribe Of Salama rubish s disposal. And, they doing this for many times. Until, Amr know that his idol cannot help him and he convert to Islam. Muadh Ibn Amr with his brothers and friends can invited their father for convert to Islam.

Until 624 AD, broke Battle Of Badr beetwen Muslims under Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and Pagan Quraish under Abu Jahal. Muslims Army numbered 300 warriors under Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Muadh Ibn Amr Ibn Jamuh join this battle when he was theenager. And, Abu Jahal lead 900- 1000 warriors. Battle broke and at this battle, several Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahaba, such as Auf Ibn Afra and Umair Ibn Humam die as martyr. And, from Pagan Quraish side, Umayyah Ibn Khalaf die.  One Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahaba who join this battle,  Abdurrahman Ibn Auftell us about Muadh s heroism action, such as written by Imam Dhahabi.

Muadh and his friend, Muawwidh IbnAfra ask Abdurrahman about Abu Jahal s position and when Abdurrahman answer, Muadh cut Abu Jahal s leg and Muawwidh attack Abu Jahal with his sword until Abu Jahal dyng. Ikrima Ibn Abu Jahal, son of Abu Jahal who join at Pagan Quraish s army, cut Muadh s hand until cutten. Muawwidh Ibn Afra fight at battle until die as martyr. Muawwidh s brother, Auf also killed at this battle.  According Historian Ibn Ishaq, such as quoted by Imam Dhahabi, Muadh Ibn Amr  life until age of Caliph Uthman Ibn Affan, third caliph from Rashidun Caliphate ( ruled 644-656 AD).

 According Imam Dhahabi, Muadh Ibn Amr became teacher for Ibn Abbas, one Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahaba who became one first scholar at  Islamic History. Muadh Ibn Amr die when era of Uthman Ibn Affan s Goverment. May Allah Subhanahuwatala bless him.
