s Scholar who considered crazy by people
at his age. He is one Hadith Scholar who also has skill at poet and also
considered as crazy because his freak verb. Ok, please read this article until

As-Shairafi, has fullname Abu Wahid Buhlul Ibn Umar Ibn al-Mughirah al-Majnun. He has
nickname Buhlul. He life at 9 TH Century, and originated from Kufa, Iraq , he
life when Abbasid Caliphate s era. Abu
Qasim an-Naisaburi, Persian Historian, write that one day, Buhlul sit at one
grave and he tie his foot at this
grave. One eyewitne, Muhammad Ibn Ismail
Ibn Abu Fudayk ask to Buhlul: “What are you doing?. Buhlul answer that he sit
with people who dont slam him. Muhammad Ibn Ismail ask Buhlul pray for disaster
that happened, price of several budgets up and Buhlul said that Allah Subhanahuwataala
give sustenance according our obedience.
At other time, Abbasid Caliph Harun
al-Rashid , who ruled from 786-809 M, went to for Hajj. He saw Buhlul ride one
wood. At Buhlul s back, several childrens follow him and Buhlul run. Caliph
Harun al-Rashid call Buhlul. Buhlul run above his wood to Caliph Harun
al-Rashid. Caliph Harun al-Rashid, ask advice from Buhlul. Buhlul advice Caliph
Harun al-Rashid for became leader who keep his honour and doesnt run glamour lifestyle. Caliph Harun al-Rashid
want give Buhlul money, but Buhlul run.
According Abu Qasim, Buhlul at past is
normal man. But, he became crazy. And, after crazy, Buhlul became freak man.
Though crazy, Buhlul popular as good poet. He make many poems. And, his poems
recorded by Abu Qasim. Buhlul also popular as critic citizen that criticize
Abbasid Caliph al-Watsiq. At this time,
Abbasid Caliphate adherent Mutazila Ideology. This ideology, is sincretism beetwen
Greek Philosophy and Islamic Theology.
They also argue that Koran ( Islamic Holy Book) is holy book and dont eternal. Buhlul, write letter to Caliph al-Watsiq
that criticize this ideology. At his letter, Buhlul write letter that criticize
Mutazila ideology. Buhlul write the letter that critize Mutazila s ideology
that considered Koran as creature. Buhlul ask at this letter:”Are you
considered Allah s commandment ( Koran) s creature, and Allah will throw you
with rock?.
Abu Qasim write that Buhlul also narrated
several Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s Hadiths. At Hadith
Knowledge, he popular with name ash-Shairafi. He narrated several Hadiths from
Aiman Ibn Nail and Muhammad Ibn al-Junayd. He also narrated Hadith from Ali Ibn
Muhammad al-Junayd. Though he crazy, Buhlul popular with his writting skills at
poem. Several from his poem written by Ali Ibn Abd Shamad al-Kufi.
And,Buhlul die at 190 H. When his life, he
maybe considered as crazy man by people at his age. But, his poems and his
Hadiths that he narrated and also his advice to Harun al-Rashid and al-Watsiq is
proof from his intelectual skill. May Allah Subhanahuwataala bless him.
His biography became inspiration, disability not barrier for became
intelectual.
