Kaab ibn Malik: Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s Shahaba who Repentance His Mistake

Kaab, life at 7 TH Century. He is one shahaba who originated from Tribe Of Khazraj, one native at Medina, Saudi Arabia and also he is one poet at his age. Kaab convert to Islam before Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam moved to Medina at 622 AD. After convert to Islam, he popular with name Abu Abdullah. Kaab, became one Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s poet who has duty for preached Islam though poet. He can invited Tribe Of Daus for convert to Islam with his poem.

Kaab ibn Malik, popular with his touched stories at Battle Of Tabuk  at 630 AD. This battle, according Historian Imam Dhahabi, happened at Month Of Rajab, one Islamic Month. According Martin Lings, at this event, Byzantine Empire under Emperor Heraclius  want attack Muslims Goverment that lead by Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Martin Lings write that Heraclius collect army from several Syrian Tribes that became Byzantine s allies. This army, consist from Tribe Of Lakhm, Judham, Ghassan, and Amila.  And, Propeth Muhammad ask his shahabas prepare to war.  This is hard month for went to battle.  Weather at Month Of Rajab so hot and fruites started ripe. And, it is hard situation for shahabas.

Uthman ibn Affan, donated 200 camels for Muslims Army. Several shahabas, such as Ashim al-Anshary, Abdurrahman, and other donated their wealths for Muslims Army. Kaab ibn Malik, at this time, more choose for  look after  his palm s farming.  Kaab, doesnt went for fight according Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s command. He doesnt went to battle with Murara ibn Rabi and Hilal ibn Umayya, two Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahaba.

And, after battle end and Byzantine Army retreat without fight with Muslims Army, Propeth Muhammad back to Medina with his troops. Many hypocrite people who dontjoin Battle Of Tabuk came to Propeth Muhammad and make reason for get permission. Propeth Muhammad forgive him and ask to Allah for forgive them. Kaab, came to Propeth Muhammad and tell his reason doesnt join the battle. Propeth Muhammad, give punishment to Kaab he will ostracized until Allah forgive him. Kaab, ostracized by Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and Muslims Society at Medina.  According Palestinian Historian, Jihad at-Turbani,when time of ostracization, Muslims at Medina doing unfriendly to Kaab. Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam also doesnt replied Kaab s greeting. Not only this, Propeth Muhammad also ask Kaab s wife for avoid Kaab. It is hard time for Kaab. Kaab tried to repentance his mistake.

Until day 50,  one man from Mount Of Sala shouted at Medina: “O Kaab, be joyful”!. After pray of dawn, Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam said that Kaab s repentance was received by Allah Subhanahuwataala. Kaab so joyful at this time. He meet Propeth Muhammad and Propeth Muhammad said: “Be joyful, it is best day since you birth by your mother”. Kaab want give all his assets to Propeth Muhammad. Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam rejected it with soft. Kaab swear he will became honest man at his life. Kaab, used his remnant life for became honest man, worship to Allah, and fight for Islamic Honour. May Allah Subhanahuwataala bless him.
