Story Of Abu Dujana: Fighter with Red Turban

Today, we will discuss about Shahaba Abu Dujana, Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam  s shahaba who popular with his red turban. Abu Dujana, has original name Simak ibn Kharrasa ibn Laudhan ibn Abd ibn Wudd ibn Zaid as-Saidi. He life at 7 TH Century.   He originated from Group Of Anshar ( Native Of Medina). And,  when Propeth Muhammad and his shahabas moved from Mecca to Medina at 622 AD, Anshar Group is one group that served Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and became one Propeth Muhammad s loyalist. Propeth Muhammad  brotherhood Abu Dujana with his one shahaba, Utba ibn Ghazwan. Utba ibn Ghazwan, is one Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahaba who became important commander at goverment age of Caliph Umar ibn Khattab , second caliph from Rashidun Caliphate ( ruled 634-644 AD). Name of Abu Dujana, popular because his brave at Battle Of Uhud 625 AD, beetwen Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and Pagan Quraish Force. According Imam Dhahabi, at this time, Abu Dujana wear red turban. Battle Of Uhud, is one hardest battle for Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and his shahabas. According Imam Dhahabi,  at this time, Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam offer his sword and said who  used his sword,  should not escape from the battle. Battle broke and according Imam Dhahabi, Abu Dujana wear his red turban as mark. Abu Dujana forward to battle and can kill many Pagan Quraish Warriors.

At this event, Abu Dujana fight with other Muslim warriors, such as Hamza ibn Abd Mutthalib, Ali ibn Abi Thalib, and other , until can breakthrough Pagan Quraish s army s line. At this battle, Pagan Quraish Army doing replied attack and can breakthrough Muslims Army s line defense.  Abu Dujana,  at the Battle Of Uhud, commit to Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam for die. According Imam Dhahabi, Propeth Muhammad at this time, attacked by Pagan Quraish Army until he injured at his tooth. It is story from Abu Dujana when he fight at Battle Of Uhud.

And, ever happened other interest story from Abu Dujana. One day, Abu Dujana sick and people came to Abu Dujana. They find Abu Dujana with smile face. They ask question: “Why your face smile”?. Abu Dujana said it is because he never said anything that not important and his heart clean.

When era of Caliph Abu Bakr , first caliph from Rashidun Caliphate  ( ruled 632-634 AD), happened rebellion from Chief Of Tribe Of Hanifa, Musaylama al-Kadhab who confess as false propeth. Caliph Abu Bakr send army under Khalid ibn Waleed for defeat Musaylama. Abu Dujana, join at this army, that lead by Khalid ibn Waleed.  When broke battle beetwen Rashidun Army and Tribe Of Hanifa army, Rashidun Army  According Syrian Historian Ibn Kathir, this battle happened beetwen 632-633 AD. And, it is long and hard battle for Rashidun Caliphate. Abu Dujana, according Imam Dhahabi, die at this battle. He jump into enemy s base, the garden of death until his leg broke and he fight with broke leg until die. May Allah Subhanahuwataaa   bless him. At this battle , Rashidun Army can defeat Musaylama.
