Abu Salama, has fullname Abu Salama ibn
Abd Asad ibn Hilal ibn Abdullah ibn Umar ibn Makhzoum ibn Yaqazha ibn Murrah
ibn Kaab.According Syrian Historian Abdurrahman Rafat Basya, his original name
is Abdullah ibn Abd Saad. Abu Salama
life at 7 TH Century. He is cousin from
Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam, son from one propeth s aunt,
Barra bint Abd Muthalib. Abu Salama, married Umm Salama and from this wedding,
they get several child: Umar, Salama, Durra, and Zaynab. Abu Salama join
several important event at Islamic History, such as moved to Ethiopia with
other shahabas at 615 AD and moved to Medina with Propeth Muhammad Shallahu
Alaihi Wasallam at 622 AD.
According Historian Imam Dhahabi, Abu
Salama is one shahaba who first moved to Ethiopia with other shahaba, Uthman ibn Madhun. According Imam Dhahabi, Abu
Salama, life until old age. And, his
childrens, also became Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s
shahabas. When Abu Salama and Umm Salama convert to Islam, they get tortured
from Pagan Quraish at Mecca. Until, at 615 AD, Abu Salama and Umm Salama moved
to Ethiopia with other shahabas . At Ethiopia, they received by King Of Ethiopia, Najashi. When several shahabas at Ethiopia
hear news about reduce of Pagan Quraish tortured at Mecca, they back to Mecca.
Abu Salama and his wife back to Mecca. And, they must get tortured from Pagan
Quraish. Seeing this, Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam permit his
shahabas moved to Medina at 622 AD. Abu Salama and his wife moved to Medina.
When Abu Salama and Umm Salama moved to
Medina with bring Salama who at this time still children, at way, they attacked
by Tribe Of Makhzoum. Tribe Of Makhzoum, tried to kidnapped Salama. After this,
Bani Abd Asad ( Abu Salama s tribe) came and they captured Salama from Tribe Of
Makhzoum. Tribe Of Abd Asad bring Salama. Abu Salama was achieve Medina, and Umm
Salama became hostage of Tribe Of Makhzoum. Umm Salama, can follow his husband to Medina.
Abu Salama , join several battle for
Islamic Honour. He join Battle Of Badr againt Pagan Quraish Army with Propeth
Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam at 624 AD. And, also at 625 AD, join
Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam at Battle Of Uhud, when
Muslims Army defeated by Pagan Quraish People. At this battle, Abu Salama
injured. After Battle Of Uhud, at
Islamic Mounth Of Muharram, 1 month from
Battle Uhud, Propeth Muhammad send Abu Salama for lead expedition to Tribe Of
Asad. At this time, Abu Salama was healed. Propeth Muhammad command him lead
army for attack Qathn, basic from Tribe
Of Asad. Lead 150 warriors,Abu Salama attack
Tribe Of Asad at Qathn and can captured 3 slaves from Tribe Of Asad. At 625 AD
also, Abu Salama die and his wife, Umm Salama, feel so sad. Umm Salama, ever
get suit from Abu Bakr and Umar after die of Abu Salama. Umm Salama rejected it
until she get suit from Propeth Muhammad and became Propeth Muhammad s wife.
