Today, we will discuss about Ubayda ibn
Harith, one Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahahaba who
became first martyr at Battle Of Badr, one first important front battle at Islamic History. Please read

Ubayda ibn Harith, has full name Ubayda
ibn Harith ibn Muthalib ibn Abdu Manaf ibn Qushai al-Qurashi. He came from
Tribe Of Quraish, big Arabic Tribe at Mecca. According Historian Imam Dhahabi,
he 10 years older than Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Propeth
Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam born at 571 AD, and maybe Ubayda born
at 561 AD. According Imam Dhahabi, he has ideal body and handsome face. And, he
is one from Asabiqunal Awwalun ( first peoples who convert to Islam).
When Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi
Wasallam spread Islam, Ubayda ibn Harith became assistant for Propeth
Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. He receive Propeth Muhammad Shallahu
Alaihi Wasallam s preach because he trust propeth s preach is right
religion. And, at 622 AD, when Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam moved
from Mecca to Medina, Ubayda join with
his two brother, Thufayl and Hussain.
He also became one first war commander at Islamic History. He
became commander for Muslim Cavalry at Battle Of Thaniyya Marrat. This battle happened at 2 TH years of
Hijriyya ( 624 AD). At this time, Pagan Quraish People was have plan for attack
Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s basic, until Propeth
Muhammad and Muslim Communities at Medina must defend theirself. Propeth
Muhammad send Ubayda ibn Harith for lead 60 cavalries.
Ubayda and his cavalries.moved to Spring
Of Thaniyya Marrat and meet Quraish Army under Ikrima ibn Abu Jahal who at this
time not yet convert to Islam. According Imam Dhahabi, at this time, dont broke
front battle. One Shahaba who join Ubayda s cavalries, Saad ibn Abi Waqqash
shoot his arrow to Pagan Quraish Army. And, one Pagan Quraish Warrior caught Saad s
arrow. At Pagan Quraish Army, also exist
several Quraish Warrior who was convert to Islam. They moved to Muslims Army
when meet Muslims Army. From them Miqdad ibn Amr al-Bahrani and Utba ibn Ghazwan.
And, broke battle of Badr several time
after this expedition. Started by Kurz ibn Jabir al-Fihri, one Quraish member
from branch tribe of Fihr s action who
attack farm animal at Medina. Propeth Muhammad chased Kurz and Kurz can escape.
At 624 AD, Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam prepare his army to
attack Quraish Caravan that was back from Syria. It is reply from Pagan Quraish
s attack to Medina. Propeth Muhammad prepare 300 army for doing this. And, Abu
Jahal lead 1000 Pagan Quraish Army for faced Muslims Army. They meet at Badr.
Ubayda fight at Muslim Army side.
Battle started by one by one fight. From Muslims
sides, forward Ubayda ibn Harith , Hamza ibn Abd Mutthalib and Ali ibn Abi
Thalib. From Pagan Quraish side, forward
Utba ibn Rabia, Shayba ibn Rabia, and Walid ibn Utba. Ubayda fight againt Utba ,
Hamza fight againt Shayba , and Ali fight againt Walid. Ubayda fall at this
duel . Ali and Hamza can defeat their enemy and they attack Utba until Utba
die. Ubayda s feet disconnected at this
battle and he die because his wound. But, Muslims Army can win Battle Of Badr.
