Sultan Murad IV: Conqueror Of Baghdad and Ottoman Legendary Fighter

Today, we will discuss about Sultan Murad IV, Ottoman Sultan who re conquest Baghdad, Iraq, from Safavid Dynasty Of Iran, and not only re conquest, he also fight at one decisive battle for re captured Baghdad and can defeat one giantman that send by Safavid Army for fight him. At 622 AD, Ottoman Sultan who still young, Genc Osman or mentioned with Osman II die because one rebellion that doing by Janissary ( Ottoman Elite Army). Janissary doing rebellion and kill Osman II. Mustafa I,  Genc Osman s uncle, became Ottoman Sultan. And, at 1623 AD, Mustafa I sick and replaced by  Genc Osman s brother, Murad IV.

According Islamic History and Research Team Of Egypt, Murad IV, who became Sultan at 1623 AD, must faced three rebellion. Rebellion from Abaza Pasha, Mayor Of Erzurum, rebellion of Janissary, and rebellion from Fakhr addin al-Mani, Leader Of Lebanon under Ottoman Empire, who has many followers from Christiant, Druze, and Alawite Peoples.

Sultan Murad IV, became sultan at 14 years old. Mayor Of Erzurum, Abaza Pasha, rebel and occupied Ankara and Sivas at Turkey. Ottoman Moniser, Hafiz Ahmad Pasha, can defeat Abaza at Battle Of Kayseri at 1033 Hijriyya. Janissary elite army also rebel and Murad IV, can kill several rebellion s figures and stop rebellion. Fakhr addin al-Maani and his gangs also tried rebel to Ottoman Empire. And, Fakhr addin die after executed by Murad IV.

At Baghdad that became Ottoman Territories, broke rebellion from one Safavid Dynasty ally, Bekir Subashi. Bekir, kill Ottoman Governor Of Baghdad, Yusuf Pasha. Bekir became de facto leader of Baghdad. Ottoman Army under Hafiz Pasha tried to re captured Baghdad.  Bekir ask helped from Safavid Dynasty. King Of Safavid, Safi- addin, came with his army at Baghdad.

Safiaddin really betray Bekir Subashi. Bekir s son, Mehmed, want captured his father s goverment and Safi addin helped Mehmed for captured goverment. Mehmed open Baghdad s castle s gate and Safavid Army entered city. They also kill Mehmed and occupied city. According Turkish Historian, Mehmet Maksudoglu, Safavid Army also slaughtered Sunni Civilians at Baghdad.At 1635 AD, Sultan Murad II moved with Ottoman Arny and captured Revan. At 1638 AD, moved to Baghdad. King Safi addin, hide at Qasr I Sirin.Ottoman Army besieged Baghdad. Murad IV lead his army and he work at Ottoman s defense s trench with his hand. Safavid Army, send one giant man who popular as strong fighter for challenge Ottoman Army duel one by one. Murad IV receive this challenge and he fight with this giant until he can split this giant s skull. Baghdad, back to Ottoman Empire s territories after 1 month siege.

Ottoman and Safavid Dynasty, agree peace covenant at 1639 AD. Ottoman and Safavid Dynasty want destroy their fortress at boundaries. And, Safavid Dynasty, as Shia Goverment, mus stop their extreme ritual, mocked several shahabas such as Abu Bakr as-Shiddiq, Umar ibn Khattab, and wife of Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam, Ummul Mukminin Aisha.

At 1630 AD, Sultan Murad IV die, and he replaced by his brother, Ibrahim ( ruled 1640-1648 AD). May Allah Subhanahuwataala bless him.
