Tragedy of Bir Mauna: When Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s Messenger Killed at Preach Mission

Today, we will discuss Tragedy of Bir Mauna. At this tragedy, Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s messenger that happened by several shahabas die at their preach mission. At 626 AD, one year after Battle of Uhud (625 AD), Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam get request from several mens for send several shahabas for teach to them about Koran ( Islamic Holy Book) and Sunnah ( Islamic Tradition from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam ). Propeth Muhammad, send 70 mens for teach tem about it. It is consist from several shahabas.  Imam Dhahabi, mentioned their name are Harith ibn Shimma, Haram ibn Milhan, Urwa ibn Asma ibn Shalt as-Sulamy, Nafi ibn Budayil, Amr ibn Fuhayra, and other. Imam Dhahabi, mentioned, according Abu Bara, they numbered 40 mens, but according Hammad ibn Salama, consist from 70 mens.

Imam Dhahabi said, they are pious people who all day recite Koran at night. And, at afternoon, they work as water officer at mosque. They also work as firewood traders and used money from trade firewood for buy food and give it to poor peoples. Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam ask them for became preacher for people who ask teaching .  According Ahmad Hatta, Propeth Muhammad s messenger that consist at 40-70 peoples, want sended to People of Nejd, Saudi Arabia. Propeth Muhammad, ask Mundhir ibn Amr as leader from his messengers that will sended to Nejd.  May Allah Subhanahuwataala bless him.

When Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam still at way to Nejd and achieve Well of Mauna , Amr ibn Thufayl, one Propeth Muhammad s enemy, provocated several Arabian Tribes, such as  Tribe of Lahyan, Sulaym, Ushayya, Rail, and Dhakwan for attack Propeth Muhammad s messengers. They doing ambush to Propeth Muhammad s messengers. This event, illustrated by Imam Dhahabi. Arabian Tribes army, attack Propeth Muhammad s messengers before they achieved Nejd.  According Imam Dhahabi, all messengers die, except for Kaab ibn Zayd. And, there two eyewitness, Amr ibn Umayya ad-Dhamiri and Mundhir ibn Uqba who at this place sheperded Muslim s cattles. Mundhir, tried to attack Arabian Tribes army, and he die at this place becaue Arabian Tribes Army too many for defeated.

Amr ibn Umayya, became Arabian Tribes Army s hostage. Arabian Tribes Army ask he from where? He said he is from Tribe of Mudhar. Arabian Tribes Army liberated him because his mother has a service to Arabian Tribes Army. Amr ibn Umayya went to Medina for report it to Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam.And, Amr stopped at Qarqara. At Qarqara, Amr kill two man from Tribe of Kilab. Because, he suspect they joined Arabian Tribes Army who kill Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahabas.

Amr can achieve Medina and meet Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. He tell about Tragedy of Mauna and he was kill two man from Tribe of Kilab. Propeth Muhammad said he will paid Diyat (fine for murdered at Islamic Tradition) to their families. Because, originally, they are not part from Arabian Tribes Army, but people who want meet Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam.Propeth Muhammad so sad because this tragedy. He pray to Allah for give badness to Arabian Tribes Army who kill his shahabas.
