Story Of Rabia ibn Kaab: Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s Maid

 

Today, we will discuss one shahaba, Rabia ibn Kaab who became Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s maid until reject for marriage. And, he is one man who conbvert to Islam at early preach from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Aalaihi Wasallam. Rabia ibn Kaab al-Aslami, is one man from Tribe of Aslam. He life at 7 TH Century. He convert to Islam after meet with Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. And, after this, Rabia became Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s maid. Propeth Muhammad received him as his maid. Rabia get duty help Propeth Muhammad at midday. And, after Isha time, Rabia  parted with Propeth Muhammad. It is what he  doing all day.

At this time, Rabia is poor youngman. He stay at Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s mosque with several poormens from Muslims. And, he life from alms that gived by peoples that giving alms to Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

One day, Rabia think for ask prayer to Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam  for his life s goodness. He will has wealth, marriage, and has childs. But, Rabia doesnt ask this, because Rabia feel more good if he ask about afterlife s goodness to Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

And, Rabia ask to Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam for pray to him for make Rabia as Propeth Muhammad s bestfriend at heaven. After this, Propeth Muhammad ask question to Rabia: “Is he want marriage”?. Rabia answer that he fear if he marriage , he doesnt has wealth and fear cannot became Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s maid.  Rabia think after this event for received Propeth Muhammad s offer.

Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam  help Rabia s marriage . Mentioned, after his marriage, Propeth Muhammad give Rabia land near house of Shahaba Abu Bakr as-Shiddiq.  Not many know about his life after marriage, and also  where he die. May Allah Subhanahuwataala bless him.
