Story Of Ashab al- Ukhdud: Forgotten History Of Yemen.

Ashab al- Ukhdud, is one forgotten history at Yemen, that also written at Koran ( Islamic Holy Book), exactly at QS. Al-Buruj 1-8, and also Hadith ( Islamic oral tradition from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam) that narrated by Imam Muslim , one Hadith Scholar. This story, is one important part from Christiant History at Yemen and also became one moment that recorded by Koran. According Palestinian Historian,Jihad at-Turbani, People at Najran , Saudi Arabia,  adherent Christiant Religion according Propeth Isa Alaihissalam s teaching. Christiant teaching at Yemen,  bring by one Missionaris from India, Theopille ( die 364 AD). Before this, People Of Najran are Paganist. At this time, Yemen and Najran  ruled by Kingdom Of Himyar. Until, one King Of Himyar, Dhu Nuwas al-Himyari, who ruled 468-527 AD and this king, has one wizard who was old. This king, confess his self as god.  This wizard ask this king to recruited younger for replaced him became new wizard and this wizard will teach this younger  knowledge about magic. King find one younger, that mentioned by Ghulam, for educated by this wizard . This younger, must walk from his house to king s palace for studied magic. 

When he walk from house to palace, this younger meet with one Christant Priest, who adherent Propeth Isa Alaihissalam s teaching and this younger, interest to this priest s teaching. When he want meet wizard at palace, this wizard angry because all want meet the wizard , this younger always late because before this, this younger meet pries. This younger, became Propeth Isa Alaihissalam s teaching s adherent. And, one day, he meet one big animal that disturb people s way. This younger take rock and said: “O Allah, if teaching from priest better than wizard, kill this animal”. After this, he throw this rock to this animal and this animal die. This younger, also can heal blindman and also man who have leprosy s disease. One king s friend who blind came to this younger for take medicine. With Allah Subhanahuwataala s helped. This king s friend join this younger, became Propeth Isa Alaihissalam s teaching adherent. This king angry and he tortured his friend. Until his friend show this younger to king. This king tortured this younger until this younger show priest to king. This king, call priest and ask this priest leave Propeth Isa Alaihissalam s teaching. This priest rejected it and king kill priest and his friend.

This king tried to kill this younger with many tricks. Started from bring him to mountain for throw this younger from mountain s summit. King ask several his assistant for bring this younger to mountain and throw this younger. It is failed and king also ask several his assistant for bring this younger to sea and throw him. It is also faild and this younger said, if king will kill him, he must crucifixion him at palm tree and used his arrow  while mentioned: “With name of Allah, god from this younger”.

This king mentioned this phrase when he want kill this younger with arrow and bow. This younger die, and Najran people who seeing this event, join this younger became adherent from Propeth Isa Alaihissalam s teaching. This king angry and he command to dig trench and  light fire at this trench. King command, who join Propeth Isa Alaihissalam s adherent, must throwed to trench. This event, recorded at Koran, at QS.
