Story Of Anselm Turmeda: Priest Who Convert to Islam because Find Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

Today, we will discuss about one Christiant Priest from Spain who convert to Islam because find truth about Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. His biography maybe dont popular, but after convert to Islam, he became one Islamic Scholar and Christolog. Anselm born at 1352 AD at City Of Mallorca, Spain and he studied Bible to one priest at Mallorca. After studied at Mallorcan s priest,  he went to City Of Catalonia, Spain for next his religion s studies. He studied Bibles, science, and astronomy at this city.  After his study, he moved to City Of Galonia, Spain and  at this place, he meet one big priest at Spain, Nicola Martella. He is one highest priest at Spain and Anselm studied Christianity law at this place to Nicola Martella.

Anselm can became Nicola s assistant. Until , Priest Nicola give him keys from his houses and also keys from  his assets s repository. Until one day, this priest sick . Anselm visited Priest Nicola, that sick at this time. At this moment, Priest Nicola give him a message that at Bible, exist propechy about arrival of Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Priest Nicola explained, Farqalid/Pericutlos at John: 16: 7 or at Arabic mentioned by Farqalid rever to Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam as last propeth.  And, Priest Nicola also advise Anselm for convert to Islam. It is freak advice from one priest like Priest Nicola. Because Priest Nicola is high priest at Christianity.

Anselm ask, why this priest doesnt convert to Islam?. Priest Nicola answer that he doesnt convert to Islam because fear lost his postion as rich priest. After hear his priest s advice, Anselm back to Mallorca and stay with his father for 6 months. Until, he went to Sicily for wait ship that can bring him to Islamic Territories.

One day, at Sicily, stopped one ship with  plan to Tunisia and Anselm ride his ship until achieve Tunisia. And, at Tunisia, Christian Priests at Tunisia hear about him and they are Anselm s friends. Anselm ask question :”are exist Christiant People at Sultan Of Tunisia s palace”? They tell Anselm, at sultan s palace, exist one Christiant Doctor named Yusuf and Yusuf is sultan s closefriend. Tunisia, at this time lead by Sultan Abu Hamid.

With help from Yusuf, Anselm meet with Sultan Abu Hamid for convert to Islam. When Anselm convert to Islam, Sultan Abu Hamid married him with daughter from Hajj Muhammad Shafar. From his wife, Anselm has son and he named his son Muhammad, for  hope bless from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. He also change his name with Abdullah al-Mayurki ( Arabic: Allah s servant from Majorca). He also studied Arabic Language.

After his convertion, Abdullah al-Mayurki became one productive writter. He write his masterpiece, titled Tuhfatu al-Arib fi ar-Radd ala Ahli as-Shalib that discuss Islamic apologetic againt Christianity and this book also discuss Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s propechy at Bible.

At 1423 AD, Abdullah al-Mayurki die. And, his book still became main refrences for religion comparation s students until today.  May Allah Subhanahuwataala bless him.
