Bukhari and Imam Muslim. But, he is one Hadith ( Islamic Oral Tradition that
originated from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam ) Scholar at
Abbasid Dynasty s era who also mastered Arabic Literature and Fiqh ( Islamic

Ad-Darimi, has original name Uthman Ibn
Said Ibn Khalid Ibn Said al-Hafizh. His title is Abu Said ad-Darimi as-Sijistani.
But, from his backname, as-Sijjistani,
that refer to one region at Iran, maybe he originated from Iran. He is one
Hadith Scholar from Harah. Several sources said , he is came from Samarqand,
Uzbekistan. He born at 181 H. He grown
up at Samarqand. And, when he grown up,
he decide for travel for get many knowdge.
He travelled to Damascus, Homs, Iraq, and
Egypt. From his teacher , is big scholar, Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, Sulayman Ibn
Harb, Said Ibn Abu Maryam, Abdul Ghaffar Ibn Daud, and other.
Imam Dhahabi, one classic Islamic
Historian, record. At Homs, ad-Darimi studied to Abu al-Yaman al-Hamashi, Yahya
al-Euhazhi, and Hayawa Ibn Shurayh. At Egypt, he studied to Said Ibn Abu
Maryam, Abdul Ghaffar Ibn Dawud al-Harani and Nuaim Ibn Hammad. At Iraq, he
studied to Sulayman Ibn Harb and Musa Ibn Ismail. At Damascus, he studied to
Hisham Ibn Ammar and Hammad Ibn Malik al-Harastani. But, according Imam
ad-Dhahabi, ad-Darimi studied to Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, Ali Ibn al-Madini ,
Ishaq Ibn Rahawaih, and Yahya Ibn Main.
He also studied Arabic Literature from Ibn
al-Arabi and studied Fiqh from Abu Yaqub al-Buwaithi. According Imam
ad-Dhahabi, Imam ad-Darimi popular because his skill at Hadith, Arabic
Literature, and Fiqh.
Ad-Darimi has several students. From them
Abu Umar Ahmad Ibn Muhammad al-Hairi, Muamil Ibn Hasan al-Masarjisi and Ahmad
Ibn Muhammad al-Azhar. And, he also
productive writter. Imam ad-Dhahabi write that Imam ad-Darimi was write two
book: ar-Radda ala al-Jahmiya and ar-Radd Ala Bisyri al-Marisi. Imam ad-Darimi also popular wih his quote:
“Who dont collect Hadiths frm Shubah, Sufyan, Malik, Hammad Ibn Zaid, and Ibn
Uyayna, this people was failed at Hadith Knowledge. He also popular book at Hadith Knowledge. Titled Sunan ad-Darimi. Volume 1 from this book, discuss about Propeth
Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s habits. Included about Propeth

According Philip.K.Hitti, at 9 TH Century,
when Abbasid Dynasty Era, Hadith Knowledge develop at Islamic World. Darimi s book is one from Hadith Books that
appear at Abbasid Dynasty s era, other Shahih Bukhari by Imam Bukhari
and Shahih Muslim by Imam Muslim that became main cannon for Hadiths.
Imam ad-Darimi, according Imam Dhahabi,
die at 280 Hijriyya. And, he ever said: “If not because knowledge, i
will became fabric trader at Sijjistan.”. Ad-Darimi was show to us about his
