Today,
we will discuss about Mohammad ibn Sirin, one Early Islamic Scholar at Rashidun
and Umayyad Caliphate who originated from ordinary people. He doesnt originated
from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s family. And, his family dont originated from
Propeth Muhammad s main shahaba. But, he can became one important Early Islamic
School at Early Islamic History. Please read this article until end and subscribe

Mohammad
ibn Sirin s father, Sirin is one blacksmith who has job make pan. And, Sirin,
married Shafiyya, one woman slave from
Caliph Abu Bakr as-Shiddiq, first caliph from Rashidun Caliphate ( ruled
632-634 AD). And, Sirin married at age of Caliph Abu Bakr s goverment.
His
son, Mohammad ibn Sirin, born at 653 AD, age of Caliph Uthman ibn Affan, third
caliph from Rashidun Caliphate ( ruled 644-656 AD). Mohammad ibn Sirin,
originated from ordinary people at this time. But, he doesnt defeated with
other Tabiin ( Islamic generation after Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi
Wasallam s shahaba). He studied Koran ( Islamic Holy Book), and Fiqh (
Islamic law), and religion ffrom several Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi
Wasallam s shahaba, such as Anas ibn Malik, Zayd ibn Thabit, Abdullah ibn
Zubayr, and Abdullah ibn Abbas. And, also several Tabiin such as Imran ibn
Hushayn. From them, Mohammad ibn Sirin also studied about Hadiths ( Islamic oral
tradition from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam ). At his early
life, Ibn Sirin life at Medina, basic from Rashidun Caliphate.
Mohammad
ibn Sirin, with his parent, Sirin and Shafiyya moved to Bashra, Iraq. At
Bashra, Mohammad ibn Sirin used his time for studied and doing trade. At morning, he studied at Mosque of Bashra, and
at afternoon, he doing trade at market. At night, he used his time for worship Allah.
He pray until cry and read several part from Koran. And, when at market for
doing trade, Mohammad ibn Sirin also give advice to people for care to
afterlife. When at market people quarell, Mohammad became their mediator. And,
when people at market seeing him, they remember for mentioned Allah Subhanahuwataala
s name. He also teach and also has
several students, such as Yunus ibn
Ubayd, Ibn Awn, and also Mahdi ibn Maymun.
Mohammad ibn Sirin,narrated many Hadiths, because he studied to many
shahabas at his life and his life age, at age that many shahabas still alive. And, Mohammad ibn Sirin s religious study, s full with good s advice.
And,
at age of Umayyad Dynasty s reign ( 661-750 AD), Mohammad ibn Sirin became one
scholar that consistant advising Umayyad Dynasty s leaders. One day, Umayr ibn
Hubayra al-Fazari, Umayyad Governor at Kufa and Bashra, invited Mohammad ibn
Sirin for ask advice. Mohammad ibn
Sirin, advice Umayr ibn Hubayra for attention to Kufa and Bashra s resident s
behavior. Umayr ibn Hubayra thanks and give Mohammad ibn Sirin 3000 Dinar.
Mohammad ibn Sirin rejected it.
And,
he also fair man. One day, Mohammad ibn Sirin
imprisoned because in debt at oil
s trade. And, he must imprisoned until
pay off his debt. Jail s guardian doesnt has heart because Mohammad ibn
Sirin is big scholar and ask Mohammad ibn Sirin only at jail at morning and
back to his house at night. Mohammad ibn Sirin rejected because he feel doesnt
want help state s aparatur s betrayal.
And,
after leave big legacy, Mohammad ibn
Sirin die at 729 AD. May Allah Subhanahuwataala bless him.
