became scholar and teacher at Mosque of
Nabawi, Medina. And, he is one scholar from Tabiin ( Islamic Generation after
Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam). And, when Umayyad Caliph, Abd Malik ibn
Marwan visit Medina, he invited by Abd Malik ibn Marwan for give advice. He
also son in law from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s

Said
ibn Musayyab, originated from Medina, and born at 634 AD, two year after die of Propeth Muhammad Shallahu
Alaihi Wasallam and at end goverment age of Caliph Abu Bakr as-Shiddiq (
ruled 632-634 AD), first caliph from Rashidun Caliphate. His full name is Said
ibn Musayyab ibn Hazn ibn Abi Wahhab ibn Amr ibn Aiz ibn Imran ibn Makhzoum ibn
Yaqazha al-Qurashi al-Makhzoumi. Though
born after Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam , he studied Islam
from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s widows and also several
shahabas, such as Zayd ibn Thabit, Abdullah ibn Abbas, Abdullah ibn Umar,
Uthman ibn Affan, Ali ibn Abi Thalib, Shuhayb ibn Sinan, and other.
He
also popular with his pious. He also diligent doing fast and always on time when pray at Mosque of Nabawi. And, according
Abdurrahman Rafat Basya, Syrian Historian, Said also pray at first line. Said doing
Hajj ( Islamic Pilgrim to Mecca) for 40 times.
Said
married daughter from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s
shahaba, Abu Hurayra. He choosed Abu Hurayra s daughter because Abu Hurayra at this
time is one Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahaba who
became expert at Hadith ( Islamic oral tradition from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu
Alaihi Wasallam). Mentioned that at begin, Said ibn Musayyab is one student
from Abu Hurayra.

According
Historian Badri Yatim, Said ibn Musayyab has wid knowledge about Islamic
History. Said, was write several scripts about Propeth Muhammad Shallahu
Alaihi Wasallam s lifestory and also several Islamic s expansion. And, now,
his scripts was lost and we only know about his script from citation at
Al-Thabari s book, Tarikh al-Umam wa al-Muluk.
One
day, Caliph Abd Malik ibn Marwan ( ruled 685-705 AD) , Umayyad Caliph, went from Damascus, Umayyad
Dynasty Capital to Medina. Abd Malik , at this time, want heard lecturer from
one scholar at Medina, and at this time, one Medinan Scholar at Mosque of
Nabawi is Said ibn Musayyab. Abd Malik, by his
assistant, Maysara, ask Said ibn Musayyab came to him and give to him
lecturer. But, Said ibn Musayyab said, if want heard lecturer, Caliph Abd
Malik, must came to Mosque of Nabawi for heard lecturer.
Said
popular with his wide knowledge at Fiqh ( Islamic law) and Hadiths. He has several
students such as Ismail ibn Umayya, Amr
ibn Shuayb, Ibn Shihab az-Zuhri, and other. Said, die at 713 AD. May Allah Subhanahuwataala
