Today, we will discuss about Asma bint Abu Bakr, the strong mother and daughter from first Rashidun Caliph, Abu Bakr as-Shiddiq ( ruled 632-634 AD). And, she also one shahaba who help Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam when propeth moved to Medina. She is daughter from Caliph Abu Bakr as-Shiddiq. She born 27 year before Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam moved to Medina at 622 AD. Its mean, she born at 595 AD. And, when Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam preach at Mecca, she is one woman who convert to Islam for first time (Assabiqunal Awwalun). Asma bint Abi Bakr, married one Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahaba, Zubayr ibn Awwam.  At this time, Zubayr is one poorman, and his job is horse groomer. Asma help her husband at his job. And, also help Zubayr  grind  grains and wheat for make food.

And, she also sister in law with Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam, because her sister , Aisha bint Abu Bakr, is wife from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. When Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam moved to Medina at 622 AD, she handled one important role.

She, prepared Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s supplies hen Propeth Muhammad want moved to Medina. Propeth Muhammad, moved to Medina with Asma s father, Abu Bakr. At this time, Asma cut her belt. One for bound the supplies, and one for bound water.  Because this, she get title Dhat al-Nithaqain ( woman who has two belt)

Abu Quhafa, father of Abu Bakr who blind and not yet convert to Islam  , ask to Asma about wealth that leaved by Abu Bakr, and at this time, Abu Bakr bring all his wealth for moved with Propeth Muhammad. According Syrian Historian Abdurrahman Rafat Basya,  Asma bint Abu Bakr put gravel at  gap of house. And, she said that Abu Bakr was leave wealth for him. According Basya, Asma doesnt want her grandfather give her money because she fear accept aids from infidels.

And, Asma also suffered violence because keep Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and Abu Bakr. According Imam Dhahabi, when Propeth Muhammad and Abu Bakr was moved, several Pagan Quraish People, included their leader, Abu Jahal , came to Caliph Abu Bakr s house. At this time, Asma stay at this home. Abu Jahal ask where Abu Bakr s location?. Asma answer she doesnt know this. Abu Jahal angry and he slap Asma, until according Imam Dhahabi,  Asma s earring fall.

After Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and Abu Bakr moved,  Asma also moved to Medina. At this time, she is pregnant. And, at Quba, Medina, she give birth her first son, Abdullah ibn Zubayr. And, it is first birth from Muslims at Medina.

Abdullah, such as tell by Basya, tell about Asma s generosity. Asma, is has wealth, direct give this wealth to need people. Different with Umm Mukminin Aisha bint Abu Bakr who collect wealth early for give it to need people.

Until end of 7 TH Century, Asma bint Abu Bakr still alive, when Abdullah ibn Zubayr rebel to Umayyad Dynasty. Abdullah ibn Zubayr became caliph who based at Hijaz and opposed  Umayyad Dynasty that have glamour style at this life. Asma became main motivator for Abdullah ibn Zubayr faced his hardest step. Until Abdullah ibn Zubayr die at 692 AD, when fight againt Umayyad Army that lead by Hajjaj ibn Yusuf who besieged Abdullah s basic, Mecca.
