Murjia: One Classic Liberal Sect at Islamic History.

Today, we will discuss about Murjia, one classic liberal Islamic Sect at Islamic History. This sect, this one classic Islamic Sect that have liberal thinking and appear for antithesit againt Islamic Radical Sect, Kharijites that appear at end of Caliph Ali Ibn Abi Thalib. At 661 AD, Caliph Ali Ibn Abi  Thalib die because killed by one member of Kharijites, because Kharijites dont agree with Caliph Ali s policies.  Abd arrahman Ibn Muljam. From several Caliph Ali s supporters, appear Sect Of Shia, that became fanatic followers from Ali Ibn Abi Thalib. And, beetwen this, appear Murjia  that take neutral attitude and reject to join political conflict.  According several sources, this sect was appear from Caliph Uthman Ibn Affan, third caliph from Rashidun Caliphate.

Origin Of Kharijites: One Earliest Extreme Sect at Islamic History.

According Historian Harun Nasution, name of Murjia, originated from Arabic Phrase: Arjaa, that menaning is postpone. They have sight that who join political conflict at Ali Ibn Abi Thalib s era, will finished his problem by  Allah Subhanahuwataala and not included human duty for judge them. 

Different with Kharijites that claimed Muslims out from their groups are infidels, Murjia have sight that Muslims who doing big mistakes, still Muslims, with condition this man still trust that not god other Allah Subhanahuwataala and Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam is Allah Subhanahuwataala s messenger. At this progress, Murjia split into several groups. Different with Kharijites that split into several groups because  have different understanding about who Muslims that entered infidel s category, Murjia split because have different sight about who still Muslims.  Kharijites , split into several sects. 

First is moderate sect. This sect have member included several Tabiin and Islamic Early Scholar, such as al-Hassan ibn Muhammad ibn Ali Ibn Abi Thalib, Abu Hanifa/Imam Hanafi, Abu Yusuf, and several Hadiths ( Islamic Oral Tradition from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam) s Scholar. This group, claim that Muslims who doing big mistakes.  Abu Hanifa, argue that Muslims who doing big mistakes and not infidel. He is still Muslim. 

And, also appear extreme sect from Murjia, named Jahmia, that founded by Jahm Ibn Safwan. Jahm Ibn Safwan and his followers, argue that people who worship to cross, symbol from Christian Religion, or run Christian or Judaism teaching, still Muslims. From extreme group, also appear Group Of Yunusia that think Muslims who doing big sin, dont destroyed . Also appear Sect Of Salihiyya that dont considered Islamic Worship, such as pray, Zakat, fasting, and Hajj not worship and real worship is only trust to Allah Subhanahuwataala.

And , also from this sect, appear Sect Of Khassania that trust  ability for Muslims for eat a pork and also trust about ability that Hajj not must go to Mecca and can Hajj to India. According Writer Syamsul Dwi Maarif, Jahmia, Yunusia, and Salihiyya are Murjia extereme sect.
