Knowledge at Age Of Ottoman Empire.

Islamic Knowledge at Ottoman Dynasty Era, maybe dont discussed such as knowledge at Abbasid Dynasty Era and maybe not too popular. At this article,  we will discuss about knowledge at Ottoman Empire Era. And, how progress of Islamic Knowledge at this era? When Ottoman Empire Era at 15 TH Century, at Samarqand, Uzbekistan, out of Ottoman Territories, Ulugh Beg, Ruler Of Timurid Dynasty at Central Asia, founded observatory. According Historian Ahmet Kuru, Ulugh Beg take models from observatory that founded by Abbasid Caliph , Mamun at Baghdad , Iraq, at 10 TH Century, and observatory that founded by Malik Shah, Seljuq Sultan at 11 TH Century and  observatory that founded by Hulagu Khan, Mongols Ruler at Maragha, Iran  at 13 TH Century, and observatory that founded by Ghazan Khan, Mongols Ruler at Persia from Ilkhanate Dynasty at Tabriz, Iran at 14 TH Century. 

Ulugh Beg s observatory, have relation with Ottoman Empire. One Ottoman Scholar, Kadizade Rumi ( life 1364-1436 AD). He is one astronomers who born at Bursa, Turkey and moved to Samarqand. He join with Ulugh Beg s team at Ulugh Beg s observatory.  Kadizade has student, named Ali Qushchi ( life 1403-1474 AD). After die of Ulugh Beg, Ulugh Beg s observatory destroyed and Ali Qushchi moved to Istanbul, Ottoman Empire New Capital and he received by Ottoman Sultan at this age, Mehmed II al-Fatih ( ruled 1451-1481 AD). At Istanbul, Ali next his carrier as teacher and researcher. According Ahmet Kuru, Mehmed II popular as ruler who protect scholars. Mehmed II also interest with European Art. He invited Italian Painter, Bellini to make his self s portrait. Mehmed II, also love philosophy. He invited several scholars to copy  from philosophy  s book, such as Book that written by Hocazade.

According Kuru, Ottoman Sultans after Mehmed II dont have interest to philosophy, art, and also science. According Kuru, last philosophy s book that written at Ottoman Empire Goverment , write by Kinanlizade , Judge Of Damascus at 1565 AD.  This title is Akhlak I Alai ( the honour attitude). Kinanlizade became court chairman at Anatolia ( now Turkey Territories at Asia). His book, Akhlak I Alai is  main book about ethics at Anatolia. 

Ottoman Empire also ever progress map and navigation knowledge. One Ottoman Admiral, Piri Reis ( die 1554 AD), ever make a world map that also included Continent Of America.  He also write one book  titled  I Bahriyye  that explained Iberians ( Spanish and Portuguese ) exploration at America and  shipping at America.

But, Piri Reis s end dont ended with good ending. He executed at 80 years old by Ottoman Sultan, Suleiman I al-Qanuni because political factor. For Piri Reis s biography, we was discuss at this article:

At 1580 AD, Ottoman Anonymous writter write book titled Tarih I Hind I Gharbi ( History Of New World) that explained Spanish Conquest at America. But, according Ahmet Kuru, at last 16 TH Century, Ottoman Empire s interest to knowledge disappear and Islamic Schools at Ottoman Empire only press religion education and they ignore public knowledge.

Though this, knowledge of  religion  at Ottoman Empire still progressed at 17 TH Century. Katip Celebi,  one Ottoman Scholar ( life 1605-1657 AD), write religion  book titled Mizan al-Haq ( the scale of truth) that discuss central way beetwen Group Of Kadizadeli ( Salafism) and also Sufi.
