His full name, is Zubayr Ibn Awwam Ibn Khuwailid Ibn Assad Ibn Abd Uza Ibn Qushay Ibn Kilab Ibn Murrah Ibn Kab Ibn Luaiy Ibn Ghalib. He born at Mecca, Saudi Arabia, at 594 AD. Here 2 narration about when Zubayr convert to Islam. According Imam Dhahabi, he convert to Islam when his age is 16 years old. But, according witness from his son, Urwah Ibn Zubayr , that also cited by Imam Dhahabi, Zubayr convert to Islam when his age is 18 years old.
One day, when he was 12 years old and get information that Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam captured. According Urwah Ibn Zubayr, evil give this information to Zubayr and Zubayr moved with bring sword. Until, Zubayr meet Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam at one place and Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam at this place, in secure condition.
Muhammad Ibn Abdurrahman, adopted child from Urwa Ibn Zubayr, said, when Zubayr convert to Islam, his uncle tortured him with smoke and forced him leave Islam. But, Zubayr still at Islam. According Ibn Ishaq, Zubayr convert to Islam because preach from Abu Bakr as-Shidiq, one Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s main shahaba.
When Battle Of Badr at 624 AD, when Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and his Muslims Army faced Pagan Quraish Army at first big battle, Zubayr lead Muslims Cavalry at right flight. At this battle, Muslims Army achieve victory. According Zubayr s grandson, Hisham Ibn Urwah, Zubayr fight at Battle Of Badr with yellow Turban .
When Battle Of Uhud at 625 AD, when Muslims Army defeated againt Pagan Quraish Army at battle, Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam ask his shahabas chased Pagan Army for show Muslims Army still have power. Zubayr and Abu Bakr with 70 army, chased Pagan Quraish Army, until Pagan Quraish Army escaped from them. At Battle Of Khandaq, Zubayr became one spy from Muslims Army. At Conquest Of Mecca at 630 AD, when Muslims Army can conquer Mecca from Pagan Quraishs, Zubayr became Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s banner keeper. Zubayr entered City Of Mecca with 2 banners.

Started from 639 AD, Rashidun Caliphate under Caliph Umar Ibn Khattab started expedition to Egypt. At this battle, Zubayr show significantly role. Zubayr fight with Muslims Army for conquer Egypt that at this time, still under Byzantine Empire. Zubayr show his brave when Muslims Army besieged Byzantine Castle at Ain Shams. He climb Castle Of Ain Shams and Muslims Army can entered castle and defeat Byzantine Army. Egypt Goverment that under Byzantine Empire, make negosiation with Muslims Army and Rashidun Caliphate can occupied Egypt at this time.
