Yesterday, we was discuss about Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Manshour,  greatest sultan from Al-Mohad Dynasty. Today, we will discuss about Battle of Alarcos 1195 AD, last battle from Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Manshour, and mentioned by Imam Dhahabi, after this battle, Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Manshour lost and cannot predicted his existency until his die. Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Manshour: Al-Mohad Sultan Who Rejected Philosophy ( Part 1)

At 12 TH Century, King of Castille , Alfonso VIII, attack Islamic States at Andalusia ( Spain and Portugal). Army of Castille kill oldmens and kidnapped Muslim Womens at Andalusia. Alfonso VIII attack one Muslim Territories at Spain, Seville.  At this time, Islamic states at Spain was became part from Al-Mohad Dynasty. Since 539 Hijriyya, Al-Mohad Ruler, Abd Mumin send army to Spain until all Islamic States at Spain became vassal from Al-Mohad Dynasty. But, Al-Mohad Dynasty dont make Spain as his kingdom s basic. They only send delegation for ruled Spain and Al-Mohad Dynasty Capital located at Marrakesh, Morocco.

And, Alfonso VIII s movement to attack Sevilla, make Sultan Yaqub must moved for protect Spain. According Imam Dhahabi, King Alfonso also doing provocation act with send letter to Yaqub for give several parts from his territories . Sultan Yaqub write letter to Alfonso that threat Alfonso with QS: An-Naml:37:

ٱرْجِعْ إِلَيْهِمْ فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّهُم بِجُنُودٍۢ لَّا قِبَلَ لَهُم بِهَا وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُم مِّنْهَآ أَذِلَّةًۭ وَهُمْ صَـٰغِرُونَ ٣٧

“Go back to them, for we will certainly mobilize against them forces which they can never resist, and we will drive them out from there in disgrace, fully humbled.”

Sultan Yaqub prepared 100.000 army for faced Alfonso. And, also helped by 100.000 militias from Al-Mohad s Dynasty people. At 1195 AD, Sultan Yaqub moved to Spain. Papal State at Vatican, mobilized Crusaders from British, German, France, and Spain that achieved 250.000 army until Alfonso VIII. Two army faced at Alarcos, Spain.  Battle broke at this place. According Imam Dhahabi, victory achieved by Al-Mohad Dynasty. 146.000 Crusaders die at this battle and 20.000 Al-Mohads Army die . And, according Islamic Studies and Research Team of Egypt , this victory equivalent with Al-Moravid Dynasty s victory at Battle of Sagrajas at 1086 AD. After this battle, also att 1195 AD, . Imam Dhahabi mentioned that Sultan Yaqub die without knowed. One version, said that Sultan Yaqub leave his palace and moved to Territories of Mashriq.  Other version, said that Sultan Yaqub die at Baalbek, Lebanon. And also , other version, that cited Imam Dhahabi from Ibn Khallikan, Sultan Yaqub s tomb located at Village of Hummara, City of Ascalon, Palestine.  And, Imam Dhahabi trust that Sultan Yaqub die at Morocco.
